The Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation has empowered 250 retiring officers who were trained on 4- weeks short term Skills Acquisition Programme, as part of efforts to enhance their retirement lifestyles.

The engagements sprung from the move to ensure that retired public servants are not idle in the new routine of adaptation to non – secular jobs.The target is to help them erase fear of the unknown following their retirement, even as they await their Statutory work benefits.

Amongst the Graduands was the Permanent Secretary, TESCOM; Mrs.Toyin Machado-Onanuga who acquired certificate of completion in the Catering and Confectionaries production initiative.
