The Commissioner, Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (MWAPA), Hon. Cecilia Bolaji Dada, has charged women in Ifelodun and Ajeromi communities to embrace nutritional habits of food consumption for qualitative healthy living, following soaring demands of food prices

Hon. Dada identified the problem of malnourishment amongst women and adolescents on low consumption of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and calcium, low-fat dairy foods; high consumption of sweetened beverages; as well as frequent consumption of fast foods, to ones prompting heart diseases, stroke, cancer and early death.

300 Women residents at the advocacy programme tagged ‘ Ounje lore awo’ were each given wholesome grain edibles, oil and poultry foods as sources of balanced diets, along with enlightenment on healthy culinary pattens and free medical checks at the event.
