MRS. OLUSOLA ALABA FALANA – DIRECTOR, WOMEN AFFAIRS

Mrs Olusola Falana was born on 19th September,1963, she attended Our Lady of Apostles, Maryway, Odo Ona, Ibadan and completed her Secondary School Education in 1982 She proceeded to Ogun State College of Education for her National Certificate of Education in 1986. She later obtained her Bachelor of Education in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Ibadan in 1996.

She joined the Service in 1987 as a Classroom Teacher, master Grade III and transferred to the mainstream in 1999 where she was posted to Office of local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and has moved from there to various Ministries and Agencies in the State. Before her posting to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation as the Director Women Affairs Department in April 2016, she has served at Public Works Corporation as the Corporation Secretary, Head of Administration and Human Resources Department, Lagos State Printing Corporation, Office of Education Quality Assurance and Office of Facility Management.

Mrs Alaba Falana was the coordinator of the pilot phase of the newly created Office of Quality Assurance in 2015 and had various awards/ accomplishments amongst which are; Award of Excellence ( Civil Service Commission)in 2009 and the Public Service Week, 3rd position(Senior Category) in 2009.

Mrs Falana is a member of Chartered Institute of Management and Leadership and Institute of Public Service Administration. Her hobbies include Event Planning, Reading, travelling, cooking and music. She is married with children.
